In line with the celebration of Nutrition Month 2020, CENRO Catanauan distributed one of the powerful herbs in the world the SALUYOT Leaves, for it is believe to have a flavonoid compound that prevents the reproduction of virus inside the human body, thus help prevent COVID-19. Cooked SALUYOT was also served to taste.
On July 15, 2020, the EMU Personnel of CENRO Catanauan conducted a follow-up inspection on the alleged quarry in Brgy. Sagongon, Mulanay, Quezon as per instruction from the DENR-IVA, and PENRO Quezon. Likewise, they also coordinated with the LGU of Mulanay to apprise them on the matter.
A total of 3,650 assorted forest and fruit tree seedlings were provided by DENR CENRO Lipa to the LGU of San Juan, Batangas yesterday, July 14, 2020 in support to their tree planting activity to be conducted on July 17, 2020 in celebration of the municipal arbor day scheduled every 3rd Friday of July each year.
The activity was headed by OIC-CENR Officer Januel Peras which was later on supervised/ facilitated by Senior EMS Josefa Lozada and assisted by ENGP focal person FT I Leopoldo Macalintal, FT II Francis Africa,For I Angela Brosas and the Forest Protection Officers (FPOs).
Further, be informed that all the precautionary measures and safety protocols re: COVID-19 threat were properly practiced and observed during the said activity.
Isang (1) Philippine pangolin (Manis culionensis) o “balintong” ang nai-turn over sa tanggapan ng DENR CENRO Calaca matapos makatanggap ng tawag mula sa MENRO Balayan ngayong araw Hulyo 14, 2020.
Ang nasabing buhay-ilang ay naiulat na napadpad sa bakuran ng isang residente ng Brgy. Tanggoy, Balayan, Batangas habang kalakasan ng ulan kahapon, Hulyo 13, 2020 bandang alas-10 ng gabi. Noong gabi ding iyon, ay agad namang isinangguni ng mga residente ang nahuling buhay-ilang sa Kapitan ng Brgy. Tanggoy at siya namang nakipag-ugnayan sa tanggapan MENRO- Balayan upang ma rescue.
Maraming Salamat sa lokal na Pamahalaan ng Balayan, Batangas sa pamamagitan ng tanggapan ng Municipal Environment and Natural Resource Office (MENRO) bilang katuwang ng DENR CENRO Calaca sa pag protekta at pangangalaga ng ating kapaligiran at likas na yaman. At higit sa lahat maraming salamat din sa mga residente at pamunoan ng Brgy. Tanggoy sa maagap na pag aksyon.Mabuhay po kayo!
Muli, ang DENR CENRO Calaca ay nagpapaalala na mahigpit na pinagbabawal ang pagpatay, pagkakalakal, pangkokolekta, pangangaso, pagmamaltrato, pagbiyahe, at pagsira sa tirahan ng mga buhay-ilang o “wildlife” ayon sa Batas R.A 9147 o Wildlife Resources and Conservation Act.
DENR CENRO Calaca with former OIC CENRO Januel Peras ( currently OIC CENRO of Lipa) handed down 10 boxes of alcohol ( 42 gallons ) to Batangas Provincial Hospital located in Lemery Batangas represented by Mr.Renato Suayan- Supply Officer in coordination with Ms.Margie Andaya- Adminstrative Officer. The said turned over was held in DENR CENRO Calaca office.
The donation of the said medical supplies has been made possible through the concerted effort and pledges of whole CENRO Calaca family which aims to support our dear frontliners in flattening the curve of COVID-19 outbreak in the entire province of Batangas.
Moreover, proper safe and healthy precautionary measures were observed and practiced during the said turned over.
