Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Campaign was conducted by the DENR CENRO Calaca headed by OIC-CENRO Isagani Amatorio, in Barangay Papaya, Nasugbu, Batangas which was participated by 63 individuals.

IEC is one of the many initiatives of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) to raise public awareness and knowledge on environmental issues and concerns, it is also a way to strengthen linkages to the communities and encourage them in the protection and conservation of our environment.

Specifically, this activity aims to enhance the knowledge on the features and importance of protecting, sustaining, and conserving our environment; inform the participants about the existing Philippine environmental laws, regulations, and policies implemented by DENR-CENRO Calaca; and increase and strengthen the support from the barangay on any illegal activities in their area of jurisdiction. ###
