The conduct of SCUBAsurero or an underwater clean-up activity was undertaken at Mabini and Tingloy, Batangas in coordination with the Municipal Tourism Office of Local Government Unit of Mabini. The said activity was participated by 45 volunteer divers composed of representatives from the current Green Fins members namely the Anilao Scuba Dive Center, SM Scuba Dive Resort and Blue Ribbon Dive Resort. Divers from Anilao Macrospotter Association and representatives from the Office of Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa also participated in the activity. 

The activities conducted were done in support of the celebration of World Oceans Day and Coral Triangle Day which are celebrated annually on June 08 and June 09, respectively. Trash Data Collection form was also presented to guide the participants on the segregation of different categories of marine debris and pre-dive briefing was made for the collection of Crown-of-Thorns Starfish (COTS). A total of 20 sacks of debris/wastes and approximately 500 COTS were collected. Health and safety protocols were undertaken during the conduct of clean-up activity.
