Los Baños, Laguna – The Manila Bay Site Coordinating Management Office – Laguna led by PENRO Eriberto B. Saños and its designated focal person facilitated the 3rd Provincial Technical Working Group Clusters Meeting of the Mandamus Agencies held at the DENR Regional Extension Office on September 18, 2023.

The meeting was attended by different mandamus agencies such as the Philippine Coast Guard, Department of Education (DepEd), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA), Environmental Management Bureau (EMB), Laguna Water District, School of Environmental Science and Management - University of the Philippines Los Baños (SESAM – UPLB), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), MENRO Pangil, MENRO Lumban, MENRO Los Baños, City ENRO Santa Rosa, City ENRO, Cabuyao, City ENRO San Pedro, and City ENRO Calamba.

The main agenda for the said clusters meeting is the presentation and discussion of the accomplishments and/or activities undertaken by the Mandamus Agencies in support of Manila Bay Rehabilitation, issues and concerns about Solid Waste Management, and the 10-year solid waste management plan emphasizing the responsibilities of LGUs. Furthermore, establishing a standardized framework for the assessment of water quality is essential to minimize discrepancies in results and implement effective interventions aimed at enhancing the condition of water bodies, ultimately striving to attain Class SB status for Manila Bay.###
