The Protected Area Management Board (PAMB) of Cagbalete Island Protected Landscape and Seascape (CIPLS) held its fourth quarterly meeting at Niyogyugan Hall, Brgy. Rizaliana, Mauban, Quezon.

In the said meeting, one of the agenda tackled was the endorsement of the PAMB for the establishment of CIPLS as a Protected Area under the National Integrated Protected Areas System (NIPAS).

Moreover, the results of the study on the carrying capacity of Cagbalete Island conducted by the University of the Philippines – College of Forestry and Natural Resources, were presented during the meeting. Said presentation included results for ecotourism, agriculture, settlement, mangrove protection, infrastructure, offshore wind farm, and other activities relevant to the island’s sustainability, as well as the assessment of the current biophysical and socioeconomic conditions of the island.
