Cavinti, Laguna –  On August 24, 2023, the 2nd Provincial Multi-Sectoral Forest Protection Committee (PMFPC) meeting was hosted by the National Power Corporation Caliraya-Lumot Watershed (NPC-CLWAT)  at Camarin Resort, Brgy. Caliraya, Cavinti, Laguna.

The meeting emphasized the crucial matter of providing clarity regarding the issuance of Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) and tax declarations within the timberland areas of the province. This topic was thoroughly discussed by representatives from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) - Laguna and the Provincial Assessor’s Office (PAO). These concerns emerged during the routine monitoring conducted by CENRO Sta. Cruz personnel within the forestlands of the province.

Among the agencies present during the meeting were NPC-CLWAT, NPC Makiling-Banahaw Watershed, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Laguna, 202nd Infantry Unifier Brigade Philippine Army, Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (MCME), University of the Philippines Land Grant Management Office (UP LGMO), Philippine National Police (PNP) – Laguna, PG-ENRO Laguna, PAO Laguna and DAR Laguna.###
