Calamba City, Laguna – The Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region IV-A (CALABARZON) Regional Executive Director Nilo B. Tamoria delivered a keynote message during the ceremonial groundbreaking of Zama Precision Industry Manufacturing Philippines, Inc., on January 17, 2023 at Special Economic Zone (SEZ), Brgy. Anastacia, Sto. Tomas, Batangas. 

According to RED Tamoria, ZAMA partnered with DENR CALABARZON’s CENRO Calaca and planted almost 4,500 propagules of Api-api, Bakauang Babae, and Bakauang Bato in a portion of the Mangrove plantation in Nasugbu, Batangas. 

In 2021, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed between the two (2) parties, as ZAMA adopted the 5-hectare Mangrove plantation in Brgy. Onse, Nasugbu, Batangas. “This company is one of our allies in protecting and conserving our environment, especially our Mangrove ecosystem here in Batangas”, RED Tamoria highlighted. 

RED Tamoria mentioned that DENR CALABARZON is continuously encouraging strong collaborations and partnerships with various stakeholders - public and private, for the protection of the environment. He ended his speech by saying that environmental conservation is our shared responsibility as he said, “ dahil ikaw, ako, Tayo Ang Kalikasan! ”###
