CENRO REAL JOINS THE 18-DAY CAMPAIGN TO END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

In line with this year’s celebration of 18-day campaign to end Violence against Women (VAW) from November 25, 2023 to December 12, 2023 with a theme “United for a VAW free Philippines”, Gender and Development Focal of CENRO Real, Randy C. Tabelisma initiated the wearing of orange shirts of CENRO Real personnel on Mondays during flag ceremonies on November 28, 2023, Decembers 04 and 11, 2023.

Pursuant to Proclamation No. 1172, s. 2006, the said campaign aims to raise awareness on the problem of violence against women and girls and the elimination of the same, and is in support of the government’s commitment to address all forms of violence, strengthening its goal to protect the human rights of women as enshrined in the 1987 Constitution, other laws, the Framework Plan for Women and other policies and programs, and the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women, of which the Philippines is a signatory. ###
