Los Baños, Laguna – PENRO Laguna hosted the recently conducted 1st Provincial Multi-Sectoral Forest Protection Committee (PMFPC) meeting held on May 9, 2023 at the DENR CALABARZON Regional Records Extension Office, Los Baños, Laguna.

The meeting highlighted the updating and revision of the resolution for the reactivation of the Provincial Anti-Illegal Logging/Timber Poaching Task Force (PAILTF) in Laguna province which shall focus on the intensification of forest protection and anti-illegal logging operations of the DENR with the support of other law enforcement agencies. Likewise, committee members reported their significant accomplishments in forest protection.

Among the agencies present during the meeting were the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Laguna, DENR CALABARZON, CENRO Sta. Cruz, 202nd Infantry Unifier Brigade Philippine Army, PG-ENRO Laguna, National Power Corporation (NPC), Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (MCME), University of the Philippines Land Grant (UP Land Grant) and Philippine Information Agency (PIA) – Laguna.###
