In celebration of World Ranger Day, the Forest Rangers of Quezon Province, together with Regional Executive Director Nilo B. Tamoria, PENR Officer Ronilo L. Salac, Chief MSD Galo C. Martinez, Chief TSD Julieta P. Narte and the four (4) CENR Officers (Tayabas, Calauag, Catanauan, and Real), joined in the celebration and awarding ceremony of the Best Forest Rangers and Senior Citizen-Forest Rangers. Said recognition is meant to acknowledge the forest rangers of their extraordinary and exemplary commitment in protecting the natural treasures and help the communities. 

PENRO Ronilo L. Salac gave his welcome remarks, which was followed by a keynote speech given by RED Nilo B. Tamoria, wherein he emphasized the importance of our forest rangers in the proposed Environmental Protection and Enforcement Bureau (EPEB) Bill. Furthermore, a short presentation of the Forest Ranger accomplishments showing their worthwhile activities regarding the preservation and protection of Quezon Province’s environment and natural resources was made through compilations of photos taken during their field operation activities.

Afterwards, awarding of certificates and cash prizes worth 5,000 pesos each were given to the 11 outstanding forest rangers. Some medical supplies were also given to 16 Senior Citizen Forest Rangers. Moreover, one of the awardees gave his inspirational message that dwells on dedication and perseverance in maintaining a healthy environment for the residents of their community.
