DENR PENRO Rizal successfully conducted of the Nationwide Simultaneous Tree Planting Activity initiated by the DENR CALABARZON in consonance with the celebration of Philippine Environment Month held at Barangay Sto Niño, Tanay, Rizal within the premises of Kaliwa River Forest Reserve (KRFR).

The aforementioned activity started at exactly 6:00 am with the singing of the National Anthem followed by the solemn invocation prayer of Forester Geramai V. Buenaventura, Forester II of Upper Marikina River Basin Protected Landscape (UMRBPL). The Protected Area Superintendent delivered the Welcome Remarks of KRFR Forester Felomen N. Antonio.

On the other hand, the Chief Technical Services Division of PENRO Rizal, Forester Ernesto M. Diso, Jr., gave his opening message. He emphasized the importance of the participation of the community in protecting and preserving our environment because we will not be able to do this alone without engaging our stakeholders in activities like this. The Barangay Captain of Sto Niño Leonardo DC Dela Cruz, Sr., ensures that this kind of activity conducted by the Department will indeed support them. 

Meanwhile, PENR Officer of Rizal Ramil R. Limpiada greatly appreciates the collective efforts of all the participants who joined the activity. Forester Nestor P. Arriola, Jr., NGP Provincial Coordinator, demonstrated the proper planting before the activity officially began.

It was estimated that 2,020 seedlings were planted in the designated site, including Narra, Dao, Guyabano, Pili, Kamansi, Palumaria, Kakauate, and Lumbang. The various volunteers from more than 15 partnered agencies, groups, and organizations participated in the regreening activity; Manila Offroaders Eagles Club, Marikina  Valley Offroaders Eagles Club, Antipolenoes United Eagles, Club, Tipolo Maharlika Eagles Club, Prominent 4x4 Expedition Eagles Club, Lakan Kalis Offroaders Eagles Club, Rajah Sulayman Empire Eagles Club, Angono Maharlika Eagles Club, Prominent 7 Lakes Ladies Eagles Club, Integrated Central Eagles Club, Integrated Southern Eagles Club, Sanglahi Democratic Eagles Club, Ford Ranger Owners Group, Ford Ranger East Philippines, Overland Club of the Philippines, Road Warrior Eagles Club, Top Off Road Philippines, Pyro Asia Philippines, No Rich Parents Clothing, Seat Tailor, Super Strong Concrete, Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 4A, University of Rizal System (URS), and TINGOG Party list.

Furthermore, the Regional National Greening Program (NGP) Coordinator Herminigildo Jocson stated that this is the only start of the effort to protect our environment and will not end with this tree planting their endeavor for conservation and preserving the beauty of our nature. The activity ended with the awarding of the certificates to the participants.
