In participation with the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill on the 10th of February, officials from DENR-PENRO Batangas conducted an Earthquake Drill “Duck, Cover and Hold” activity on March 14, 2022, at DENR-PENRO.

The National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill aims to test the preparedness of the whole society in times of earthquake. Because earthquake strikes without warning, life-protecting actions must be taken immediately and there will not be time to think through what to do. This campaign is focused on increasing the promotion of the general public in promoting both individual and family earthquake preparedness towards community resilience, with the integration of the public health measures and standards in the conduct of NSED amidst the new normal.
