Calamba City, Laguna – The Manila Bay Site Coordinating Management Office (MBSCMO) Laguna remains committed to advancing its Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign on Ecological Solid Waste Management particularly to communities residing along vital tributaries of Manila Bay namely San Juan and San Cristobal River. In a significant step towards raising awareness and driving positive change, the MBSCMO conducted a comprehensive lecture on August 25 2023 in Brgy. Turbina, Calamba City, Laguna which drew the active participation of 61 individuals (25 female; 36 male).

The lecture encompassed a comprehensive exploration of crucial topics aimed at fostering responsible waste management practices and environmental stewardship. Among the focal points were the flow of wastes starting from generation down to disposal, classification of wastes including solid and liquid, proper solid waste management including segregation at source or at the household level, effects of improper waste management, and the current situation of San Juan River with emphasis in its water quality.###
