The DENR-PENRO Batangas through the Protected Area Management Office of Taal Volcano Protected Landscape (TVPL) spearheaded a river clean-up and Zumba activity in Brgy. Poblacion, San Nicolas, Batangas in celebration of National Women’s Month and International Day of Action for Rivers. 

The said activity was participated in by delegates from the Local Government Unit of San Nicolas, Philippine Coast Guard, and DENR-PENRO Batangas. A total of 30 sacks of solid waste were successfully collected and disposed of. ‘

An educational lecture on Women’s Month and the ecological significance of wetlands and its preservation, was also delivered by Protected Area Superintendent Joseph Pusancho of TVPL.
