The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) – Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) of Batangas conducted an annual Fire Drill to familiarize and reinforce proper evacuation routes and practices among employees. 

The activity intends for the proper actions to be an automatic response whenever fire alarms sound so that everyone safely evacuates the area in an orderly manner. 

A demonstration on how to properly use the fire extinguisher was also facilitated outside the office premises, after the employees were securely evacuated, to educate the employees on the principles and practices of using a fire extinguisher as well as the hazards associated with fighting small or developing fires. 

Consequently, T.P.A.S.S. technique (Twist, Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep) was executed. The employees were reminded that if there is the slightest doubt about the ability to fight a fire, just evacuate immediately and do not attempt to put out the fire. ###
