The project "Forestland Evaluation and Mapping" is currently carried out by the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (NAMRIA). The Land Classification (LC) survey of the remaining Unclassified Public Forests (UPFs) is one of the major activities under the aforementioned project. The target areas of the project for CY 2023 are UPFs within the Municipalities of Mulanay, San Narciso, Buenavista, Catanauan, General Luna, Lopez, Macalelon, Gumaca, Sampaloc and Mauban in the Province of Quezon, and Municipality of Cavinti in Laguna.

On June 13, 2023, the technical team leaders namely Engr. Victor John J. Veneracion, Mr. Fortunato P. Jordan, Jr., For. Queen Jade Elchico, together with Ms. Francia Clerigo, Ms. Joanne Rae Pales, Ms. Ma. Ailyn Olanda, and Ms. Kristine Del Rosario paid a courtesy visit to the Regional Executive Director Nilo B. Tamoria.

In addition, the OIC Chief of Planning and Management Division For. Cynthia N. Rozaldo and Statistician II For. Marvin Anghad assisted the team during their visit to the Regional Office.

The team briefly presented to RED Tamoria their project and itinerary. The teams will be deployed at the said areas on June 13-27 to gather relevant data and conduct land classification activities.
