The DENR CENRO-Real personnel conducted a Coastal Clean-Up activity at the coastline/shoreline within Brgy. Pamplona and Catablingan, General Nakar, Quezon on May 9, 2023. 

The activity was attended by the members of the Bantay Dagat, Brgy. Officials and 4Ps beneficiaries of Brgy. Pamplona. A total of 46 individuals participated in the activity, of which 26 are males while 20 are females. 

The event was led by the Coastal Marine Ecosystems Management Program (CMEMP) Focal Person, Forester II Lyra Michaela E. Rivera with the support of some CENRO Real staff and personnel.

Moreover, the activity was in line with the celebration of the Month of the Ocean with the theme "Sustainably Feed the Global Population" under UNESCO Ocean Decade Challenge 3. The main objective of the activity was to create awareness of the importance of the coastal and marine resources to support daily life.

The group collected approximately ten (10) sacks of garbage composed of different kinds of plastic material and packaging, diapers, and other debris from trees and coconut husks.###
