DENR Ten (10) priority programs focused during the successfully conducted Provincial Consultation for CY 2022 via the virtual platform on January 18, 2022.

Work and Financial Plan for CY 2022 as well as the draft Forward Estimates for CY 2023-2025 were presented to the stakeholders composed of Provincial Government, City and Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officers, Provincial Government, City and Municipal Planning Development Coordinators, representatives from other government agencies, Academes and People’s Organizations.

The accomplishments of the PENRO for CY 2021 were also presented by the PENRO Chief, Planning Officer Engr. Marilyn Paunil.

During the discussion, activities under manila bay rehabilitation, particularly the tons of solid waste collected on rivers were questioned. Engr. Marlon Pielago, MENRO of LGU Teresa suggested capacitating and strengthening of River Rangers. To have an action plan together with all concerned LGUs and stakeholders for the continuity of the program.

Engr Violeta Faiyaz, CEWMO Antipolo said, "It is the attitude of the people that we are dealing with."  reiterating that information, education, and communication (IEC) campaign programs by the local government units must be strategized, and the law must be enforced.

This public consultation was annually conducted to adopt participatory planning to identify priority activities to be incorporated into the raised concerns for LGUs, OGAs, CSOs, SCUs and Pos, and other stakeholders. To gather feedback on the implementation of the department's programs and projects within the province.
