The DENR-Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) of Rizal took proactive steps towards environmental sustainability by hosting an Orientation on Environmental Management System (EMS) ISO 14001:2015 at the PENRO Conference Room.

Administrative Officer IV Jack Victor M. Nera commenced the event with an insightful introduction to the Environmental Management System, emphasizing its significance in contemporary environmental stewardship. Moreover, Engr. Guillermo V. Estipona, Jr., OIC-Chief of the General Services Division, shared valuable insights into the practical implementation of EMS at the DENR Central Office.

The participants of the orientation are all members of PENRO's EMS Core team. The primary objective of this training initiative is to meticulously identify environmental aspects and impacts while establishing practical and attainable environmental objectives and targets in alignment with ISO 14001:2015 standards. Through this concerted effort, PENRO aims to foster a culture of environmental responsibility and compliance within its jurisdiction.
