PENRO Cavite through its Gender and Development Focal Point System organized several activities to promote and support the nationwide 18-day campaign to end Violence Against Women (VAW) from November 25, 2023 to December 12, 2023. 

Throughout the campaign, the said Office used the All-Women Cast Lupang Hinirang audio-video presentation every Monday convocation, as well as encouraged its personnel to wear orange-shaded attire to show their support for the movement. The PENRO staff were also encouraged to use the official logo of the 2023 18-day campaign to end VAW as their Facebook profile frames. 

Several IEC materials such as flags and stickers showcasing the theme “UNiTEd for a VAW-free Philippines” and other quotes that promote the elimination of VAW, were distributed among PENRO Cavite Personnel during the launching of the campaign. Likewise, the official banner for the campaign was posted beside the entrance door of PENRO Cavite Building and was displayed on the TV screens in the lobby and receiving area. 

Presidential Proclamation No. 1172, Series of 2006 declared November 25 to December 12 of every year as the “18 – Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women” with the goal of protecting the human rights of women. ###
