DENR CALABARZON through the initiative of the Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services Eriberto C. Sanos led the Pabasa ng Pasyon on March 22, 2024, at the DENR CALABARZON Regional Office’s Ground Floor Conference Room.

Pabasa means “act of reading” or “to read”. Pabasa is also known as a religious ritual chanting the words from the Pasyon, a narrative book that contains the life of Christ. This is one of the oldest Holy Week traditions in the country.

In addition, Pabasa is a way for Catholics to repent their sins and seek forgiveness from God during the Lenten Season.  It is also a form of meditation, an expression of faith in God, and an activity to interact with the community.
