In support with the Department of Education Memorandum No. 069 series of 2023 regarding the implementation of the project entitled, “DepEd’s 236,000 Trees- A Christmas Gift for the Children”, CENRO Lipa City through its Conservation and Development Section participated in the Nationwide Ceremonial Tree Planting program last December 6, 2023 at Emilia L. Malabanan Integrated School located at the Municipality of Balete, Batangas.

A total of 2,585 assorted seedlings of calamansi, lansones, rambutan, kamagong, guyabano, mangga, narra, and molave were provided by the Office to public schools in Batangas City, Lipa City, Sto. Tomas City and Tanauan City.

Said activity aims to promote environmental preservation and instill environmental responsibility among Filipino children which is in line with the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) executed among the Office of the Vice President, DENR and DepEd for the program entitled “Pagbabago: A Million Trees Campaign”.###
