A tree-planting activity was spearheaded by the Protected Area Management Officer (PAMO) – Taal Volcano Protected Landscape (TVPL) for the celebration of International Day of Climate Action in Brgy. Payapa Ilaya, Lemery, Batangas.

The said event is being celebrated every 24th of October which aims to raise awareness about the devastating effects of climate change, which are already being experienced all over the world. 200 pcs of seedlings were planted of which 100 pcs are Narra (Pterocarpus indicus), 50 pcs are Rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum), and 50 pcs are Guyabano (Annona muricata).

Fifty (50) individuals participated in the activity wherein twenty-four (24) were males and twenty-four (24) were females from the Local Government Unit of Lemery and Barangay Local Government Unit of Payapa Ilaya, Philippine National Police- Lemery, Sagip Taal Lake Movement, and RCFAB Agri. Trading respectively.
