In observance of the 34th National Statistics Month (NSM) themed “Accelerating Progress: Promoting Data and Statistics for Healthy Philippines,” DENR-PENRO Laguna joined the zumba activity of the DENR Central Office on October 16, 2023.

The said activity aimed to promote a healthy lifestyle among the DENR employees. It was simultaneously viewed at different DENR offices via video conference. Apart from participating in the zumba activity, the provincial department also produced and hung a NSM streamer within the office premise.

Proclamation No. 647 dated September 20, 1990 declares October of every year as NSM recognizing the pivotal and crucial role of statistics in policy formulation, planning, and decision-making in both the government and private sectors. Similarly, observance of NSM promotes, enhances, and instills nationwide awareness and appreciation of the importance and value that statistics provide to different sectors of the society. More importantly, its observance ensures the support of the general public in terms of improving the quality and standard of statistics in the country.###
