In participation with the Quarterly National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill, on 12 September 2023, officials from DENR-PENRO Batangas conducted an Earthquake Drill ‘Duck, Cover and Hold” at DENR-PENR Office Batangas.

The National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill aims to test the preparedness of the whole society in times of earthquake. Because an earthquake strikes without warning, life-protecting actions must be taken immediately and there will be no time to think through what to do. This campaign focused on increasing the promotion of the general public in promoting both individual and family earthquake preparedness toward community resilience, with the integration of public health measures and standards in the conduct of NSED amidst the new normal. ###
