DENR CENRO Calauag marks this year’s celebration of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Month by wearing various ASEAN attires during their flag-raising ceremonies for August 2023.

The employees showcased traditional and modern ASEAN attires to represent the diversity and uniqueness of each ASEAN nation.  

The celebration is pursuant to Proclamation No. 282 dated 31 July 2017, amending Proclamation No. 1008 dated 21 May 1997, proclaiming that August of every year as the ASEAN month. All government agencies are enjoined to support and participate in different activities to commemorate the 56th ASEAN Founding Anniversary.

DENR Offices participate in the celebration to impart awareness among the general public regarding the importance of the ASEAN celebration in nation-building and instituting Southeast Asian countries towards stronger linkage and partnership.###
