Proclamation No. 282 was signed on July 31, 2017, declaring August as the month to commemorate the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) ASEAN. The annual celebration encourages all government agencies to initiate and implement programs and activities to help generate awareness and public support in promoting the observance of ASEAN Month.

                                                          

This year’s celebration of ASEAN Month has a theme “ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth” which focuses on ASEAN youth as well as ASEAN Centrality and becoming an anchor of stability and prosperity.

DENR CENRO Calaca joined the said celebration through the displaying of the ASEAN Digital Banner on the TV Screen, the displaying of ASEAN Country flags installed on cubicles, and the wearing of ASEAN country costumes during Monday convocation.###
