MULANAY, QUEZON- The Buenavista Protected Landscape (BPL) holds a 2-day Public Consultation cum Workshop on the Updating of its PA Management Plan at Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), Mulanay Campus.

The 2-day activity was attended and participated by the PAMB members of BPL, DENR personnel and identified tenured migrants of BPL, Sangguniang Barangay of Brgy. Buenavista and Cambuga, PUP Staff, and LGU Mulanay representatives. During the workshop proper, all the comments of the Biodiversity Management Bureau (BMB) were presented by Forest Technician II/ APASu John Dave D. Natividad and incorporated in the management plan of BPL. Likewise, other activities being implemented from 2018-present were also included on the said plan.

On the second day of activity, all participants gathered additional inputs and suggestions for inclusion on the plan and to improve activities to be conducted in BPL. This was facilitated through an open forum and discussion.  Similarly, the updated management plan is to be subjected for presentation at the 4th Quarter Protected Area Management Board (PAMB) meeting of BPL for the issuance of corresponding PAMB Resolution and its endorsement.

The 2-day public consultation cum workshop aims to update the Protected Area Management Plan of BPL and to involve all the stakeholders in the implementation of activities in BPL. PENRO Ronilo L. Salac and OIC-CENRO Ramil J. Gutierrez were also present in the activity. ###
