CATANAUAN, QUEZON- CENRO Catanauan, Quezon had conducted Photo-Exhibit for Alibijaban Wilderness Area (AWA), Buenavista Protected Landscape(BPL), and Mulanay Watershed Forest Reserve (MWFR) in line with the Celebration of World Wildlife Day with the theme “Recovering Key Species for Ecosystem Restoration” held on March 3-4, 2022 at the CENR Office of Catanauan, Quezon.

The standees provided per PA shows the different flora and fauna of AWA, BPL, and MWFR and the importance of conservation and protection of Threatened Species in the three (3) subject PAs. The activities conducted were participation by the clienteles of CENRO Catanauan, Quezon through receiving IEC materials. In addition, Audio Visual Presentation (AVP) regarding Biodiversity Conservation, Wildlife in the Philippines, and the different Accomplishments of aforesaid protected areas were flashed in the waiting area of CENRO Catanauan.

Said event aims to raise awareness on the existing wildlife and threatened species in the protected areas of CENRO Catanauan, Quezon. Likewise, IEC materials (leaflets) were distributed to the participants as part of the Communication, Education and Public Awareness (CEPA) of PAs.

The World Wildlife Day is celebrated annually to raise awareness of the world’s wild animals and plants and proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on December 20, 2013 on its 68th Session. ###
