A Public Consultation Meeting Workshop for FY 2023-2025 Forward Plan was held via zoom on January 11 and 12, 2022 at CENRO Lipa City and CENRO Calaca, respectively. The participants for the said activity were DENR Batangas officials and personnel, DENR-PEMU Batangas staff, PAMO-TVPL staff, and representatives from different Local Government Units under the administrative jurisdiction of the two (2) CENR Offices, of which fourteen (14) were male and twenty-seven (27) were female. In order to properly harmonize the gathered proposed plans and programs from the LGUs, DENR Batangas key officials and technical staff gathered on January 13, 2022, at NDN Grand Hotel, Sto. Tomas Batangas.

The activity aims to achieve a comprehensive plan for the Province by intensifying participatory planning and budgeting. This is to ensure the continuous implementation of meaningful priority programs, which are geared towards the rehabilitation, restoration, and development of our environment and natural resources in the coming years.

PENR Officer Noel M. Recillo, together with the CENR Officer Allan Willard M. Estillore and CENR Officer Isagani Q. Amatorio acknowledged the importance of LGU participation in the planning and proposing of activities and programs of the DENR to continuously address the protection and conservation of the environment and natural resources. More so, they enunciated that this kind of undertaking is a relevant way to further strengthen the established linkages between the Agency and its stakeholders. PENRO Recillo emphasized the aim of achieving a comprehensive plan for the Province. This is to ensure the continuous implementation of meaningful priority programs, which are geared towards the rehabilitation, restoration, and development of our environment and natural resources in the coming years.

LGUs presented their proposed activities and programs alongside their budgetary requirement in line with the priority programs of the Department. Each of the LGU present in the consultation workshop showed their utmost willingness to collaborate with the DENR when it comes to sustainable use of our natural resources and protection of the environment as seen in their proposed activities for FY 2022-2024. Comments and exchange of feedback were also taken into consideration for the comprehensive drafting of the Forward Estimate for FY 2023-2025 of DENR Batangas.
