As part of the National Clean Air Month celebration, a tree planting activity was conducted within the Quezon Protected Landscape, Sitio Amao, Brgy. Silangang Malicboy, Pagbilao, Quezon on November 11, 2023. 

During the activity, a total of 130 Narra (Pterocarpus indicus) seedlings were planted within the said protected area by twenty-six participants (21 males and 5 females) from the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), residents, CENRO Tayabas, and Protected Area Management Office – Quezon Protected Landscape (PAMO-QPL) staff.

Before the tree planting proper, a short program was conducted where Forest Ranger Prahlad P. Alzola shared some information regarding the protected area including its background/history and location. He also shared some information regarding National Clean Air Month which is celebrated in November every year, and the importance of planting trees that contribute to a healthier environment and promote the well-being of the community in the protected area.

Furthermore, Forest Extension Officer Joon Byrwyn A. Jariel also oriented the participants on the proper handling of trees and the planting process to ensure the survival of the seedlings.
