Provincial Environment and Natural Resources – Inspection and Acceptance Committee (PENRO-IAC) Batangas conducted an inspection of the Enhanced National Greening Program (ENGP) in Nasugbu, Batangas on November 7, 2023.

On 2 March 2023, a Letter of Agreement was entered into by the DENR-PENRO Batangas and Maangyo Fruit Bearing Planter for the protection activities of the established plantation covering 68 hectares at Sitio Maangyo, Brgy. Butucan, Nasugbu, Batangas.

Upon inspection for the 2nd billing, a total of 3,750 cashew seeds, and 5,400 seedlings were planted composed of 2,000 Cashews, 1,000 Cacao, 1000 Bignai, 400 Caimito, and 1000 Guyabano. Ring weeding, brushing, and patrolling were the maintenance and protection activities being conducted in the area.

ENGP is a government priority program to rehabilitate and reforest the unproductive, denuded, and degraded and contribute to the development and enhancement of Socioeconomic standards of local communities.
