DENR CALABARZON Regional Executive Director Nilo B. Tamoria was invited to be one of the resource speakers for the Philippine Urban Forum 2023: Transforming our Cities and Building Resilient Communities plenary session on Nature-based Pathways to Sustainable Urban Development on October 6, 2023 at the Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City. 

RED Tamoria presented the DENR’s key initiatives in advancing nature-based solutions. He also discussed the protection, rehabilitation, and sustainable management and development of the Upper Marikina River Basin Protected Landscape (UMRBPL) in the CALABARZON Region.

Along with RED Tamoria, Provincial ENR Officer Januel C. Peras of Cavite; Community ENR Officer Venerando U. Garcia of Sta. Cruz, Laguna; Planning Officer III Gladys T. Baliwag and selected staff from CENRO Sta. Cruz also attended the said plenary session. ###
