Los Baños, Laguna – A two-day roll-out on DENR Administrative Order 2022-10 or “The Revised Manual of Authorities on Technical Matter” and refresher on existing and updated forestry and wildlife laws and policies was conducted by PENRO Laguna on May 4-5, 2023 held at the DENR CALABARZON Regional Records Extension Office.

The said activity was initiated by the Regulation and Permitting Section (RPS) and Monitoring and Enforcement Section (MES) and geared towards briefing and capacitating its newly promoted and designated personnel involved in the processing and monitoring of DENR permits, registration, and certifications.

The said roll-out involved the discussion of DAO 2022-10 which limits authority at various management levels, from the Secretary to the lowest levels of supervision, and is anchored on the new DENR organizational structure in the regional and field offices that further simplify and facilitate transactions regarding technical matters such as processing of permits. There were also elaborated discussions on existing and updated forestry and wildlife laws and policies.

Personnel from DENR CALABARZON Licenses, Patents and Deeds Division (LPDD) led by its Division Chief, Engr. Olivia G. Bejo, Chief, Forest Utilization Section – Forester Virgilio C. Andres, Jr. and Chief, Wildlife Resources Permitting Section – Forester Florida G. Morada served as resource speakers.

During the opening program, Engr. Bejo commended PENRO Laguna for the initiative and will replicate the said activity in other provinces in the region to capacitate them as well.###
