Community PlanTREE was held in Calaca City, Batangas on April 18, 2023, in celebration of Month of the Planet Earth with the theme “Invest in Our Planet Earth”. The activity was facilitated by the DENR CENRO Calaca in partnership with the City Government of Calaca through the City ENRO

Community Pantry Movement emerged in the country in 2021 during pandemic wherein various individuals, groups, and organizations collect and share food and other essential products for free distribution to low-income and needy members in the community that started in Maginhawa Street in Quezon City. Inspired by this movement, the DENR CENRO Calaca conducted the same initiative in the City of Calaca in the year 2021 carried out by the DENR’s advocacy “Tayo Ang Kalikasan” and continued this year 2023. This activity aims to encourage nearby communities to establish their own urban garden and to help in the mitigation of climate change.

A total of 2,000 seedlings of native tree species were distributed to the citizens of Calaca City.
