The DENR CENRO Lipa through the Conservation and Development Section conducted Technical Assistance and Leveling-off of Integrated Coastal Management ICM to local plans in the Municipality of Mabini, Batangas. It was attended by representatives from concerned offices of the municipality. Discussed during the leveling-off activity includes the Status of Integrated Coastal Management Plan, Roll-out of Biodiversity Management Bureau (BMB) Technical Bulletin No. 2022-02 entitled “Guide in the Mainstreaming of Integrated Coastal Management (ICM) Approach to Government Units’ Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP)” and Strategies on Mainstreaming of ICM Approach on local plans of Mabini, Batangas.  

EMS I Charlene Jovanne Constantino emphasized that ICM is a Ridge-to-Reef Approach and noted that status of implementation of ICM is in accordance with BMB Technical Bulletin No. 2022-02 and aligned with the Memorandum from the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHUSD) requesting all DILG Offices to disseminate the said technical bulletin to all Local Government Units.
