The DENR CALABARZON, through CENRO Lipa and in continuous partnership with the LGU of Ibaan, Batangas, facilitated the conduct of the Cascading Event at the Palms Peak Resort, Brgy. Sandalan, Ibaan, Batangas in support of the implementation of the Rapid Land Tenure Appraisal (RLTA) Program in the Municipality of Ibaan.

The cascading event was attended by representatives from the Assessor’s Office, Sangguniang Bayan, Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office, Municipal Engineering Office, Office of the Mayor, Barangay Chairpersons of all twenty-six barangays of Ibaan, CENR Officer of CENRO Lipa City, CENRO Lipa City personnel, the Technical Services Division (TSD) Chief of PENRO Batangas, and representatives from the Licenses, Patents and Deeds Department (LPDD) of the DENR-CALABARZON Regional Office.

The cascading event is a preliminary activity given to the participants involved to establish a common understanding and explain the overall activities and goal of the RLTA program. The RLTA is a program designed to systematically assess and profile a city or municipality in terms of land status to determine the actual figure of the workable lands for titling.

During the cascading event the following topics were discussed; Insights and Rationale of RLTA, DENR-LGU Partnership, Basic Principles of Land Disposition, Land Investigation Activities, Land Parcel Identification, Residential Free Patent (RA 10023) and Agricultural Free Patent (RA 11573), Data Gathering Procedures for the conduct of RLTA, Conduct of Barangay Assembly, Community Mobilization, Validation through Focused Group Discussion (FGD), Preparation of Land Tenure Profile (ILTP) Form, Preparation of Consolidated Cadastral Map (CCM), and the Role of the Local Government Unit for the conduct of RLTA Program.
