The DENR-CENRO Calauag together with the PENROs and CENROs in CALABARZON joined and mobilized partakers in the nationwide simultaneous tree growing activities in celebration of the Philippine Environment Month, and in view of the Philippine Arbor Day 2022 and 159th Anniversary of the Philippine Forestry Service that have concluded thru Bike.Hike.Plant+ 2022.

A total of 300 seedlings of Guyabano were planted within the National Greening Program (NGP) graduated Urban Plantation along the portion of Pipisik River, Brgy. Butaguin, Gumaca, Quezon by 62 partakers from the Gumaca LGU, private organizations, and CENRO Calauag, Quezon in celebration of Philippine Environment Month 2022.

Likewise, in coordination with the Calauag Bikers Association, Inc. (CBAI) and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Calauag, another tree growing activity was concluded thru Bike.Hike.Plant+ 2022  in observance of the 159th Anniversary of the Philippine Forestry Service and Philippine Arbor Day 2022.

The latter was commenced thru hauling of seedlings by members of Calauag Bikers Association, Inc., (CBAI) who pedaled while carrying their drawstring bags going to the planting site in Calauag Watershed Forest Reserve (CWFR), Brgy. Yaganak, Calauag, Quezon.

Partakers of the event accomplished to plant a total of 250 seedlings composed of 150 Narra and 100 Batino species.

CENRO Calauag adheres to continuously undertake regreening activities like tree growing especially in the graduated NGP sites and watershed areas within its jurisdiction in support to the activities, programs, and projects of the DENR.###
