Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) CALABARZON solidified its partnership with Philippine National Police (PNP) through its Laguna Police Provincial Office (LPPO), as they signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for intensified forest protection within the CALABARZON Region.

The agreement focuses on the rehabilitation and restoration of the 10-hectare National Greening Program (NGP) Area located in Brgy. Tala, Rizal, Laguna. This initiative is under the DENR program, “Tayo Ang Kalikasan” and the LPPO program, Project SPLaKaM – Samahang Pulis Laguna, Kapanalig Mo at Makakalikasan.

As stipulated in the signed MOA, the LPPO shall be responsible for the 5-year Development Plan and Site Development Plan of the area. On the other hand, the DENR CALABARZON shall offer technical assistance to the other party.

Tayo Ang Kalikasan is a program under DENR which aims to restore, rehabilitate and develop the forest lands in a sustainable manner, on the other hand Project SPLaKaM aims to offer direct participation in the massive, intensive, and sustained tree growing, planting and caring activities in response to the threat of climate change and global warming.
