The DENR CALABARZON through the Enforcement Division conducted a joint meeting of the Regional Multi-sectoral Forest Protection Committee (RMFPC) and Regional Enforcement Task Group (RETG) via video conference on September 25, 2020.

The meeting highlighted the turn over of the RMFPC leadership from the Outgoing Chairman, Guillermo O. Formaran III to the Incoming Chairman, Quezon PG-ENRO Manuel A. Beloso. Assisted by the DENR Calabarzon Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services, Alfredo C. Palencia and DENR-PENR Officer, Quezon, Ramil R. Limpiada, the turn-over ceremony was officiated by Regional Executive Director Nonito M. Tamayo.

During the meeting, the new RMFPC Chairman discussed his plans and programs for the Committee for CY 2020-2021. ARD Palencia also discussed the plans and programs of the RETG.

Comprised of various sectors, institutions and government agencies in Calabarzon, RMFPC focuses on the intensification of forest protection and anti-illegal logging operations in the region. On the other hand, RETG is mainly composed of law enforcement agencies, formed to strengthen the enforcement of the environmental laws and policies in Calabarzon.
