DENR-PENRO Quezon officials and staff showed their unity in the celebration of National Women’s Month by wearing purple shirts symbolizing wealth, nobility, and power. 

The said office also held a short program that included the viewing of an audio-visual presentation on the history of remarkable contributions of outstanding women in the Philippines, and an orientation on this year’s celebration with the theme "Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas; Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patutunayan!" still under the umbrella of the general theme "WE for gender equality and inclusive society” introduced in 2023.

Three women personnel shared their thoughts and insights on what being a “Woman in DENR” meant. One of them expressed that the emotional capacity of women to work in this nature is truly extensive. Another one conveyed that women do not compromise and have a firm decision, especially in terms of implementing DENR rules and regulations. The last one shared that women and men in DENR are equal partners in achieving the goals of the office.

A quick quiz honoring International Women's Day was also done. The winners received tokens courtesy of the Gender and Development Focal Point of PENRO Quezon.
