Outgoing Laguna PENR Officer Eriberto B. Saños handed over the Department’s flag and the key to PENRO Laguna incoming OIC Venerando U. Garcia, as part of the symbolic turn-over ceremony held on January 5, 2024 at the Regional Land Records Extension Office, PENRO Compound, Lalakay, Los Baños, Laguna.

DENR CALABARZON Regional Executive Director Nilo B. Tamoria together with other key officials of DENR CALABARZON attended the ceremony to personally deliver their congratulatory messages to both officials. Rizal, Laguna Vice Mayor Antonino A. Aurelio was also present to witness the ceremony.

Saños, who is the outgoing PENR Officer, now designated as the OIC Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services, is a licensed Forester and has spent 36 years in government service. He is a Career Executive Service eligible who has served as Laguna PENR Officer since January 7, 2022.

On the other hand, Garcia is also a Forester by profession who was the OIC Chief of the Policy Studies Division, DENR Policy and Planning Service prior to being assigned as the CENR Officer of Sta. Cruz, Laguna in September 2021. He became the full-fledged CENR Officer of Lipa City on May 10, 2023 and is now designated as the OIC, PENRO Laguna.

The designation of the said officials is pursuant to Regional Special Order No. 2023-455 dated December 29, 2023 and is part of the continuing organizational development of the DENR CALABARZON.###
