Calamba City, Laguna - The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) CALABARZON, Department of Transportation (DOTr), and Philippine National Railways (PNR) officially entered into a tripartite agreement for the facilitation of fast-tracked release of data regarding the South Long Haul Project (SLHP) last March 6, 2023.

The MOA aims to facilitate the expeditious release of data, including land records, particularly Technical Descriptions, Approved Plans, Lot Data Computations, Subdivision Plans, Certificate of No Records, Cadastral Maps, Lot Gaps, and other related documents.

The Parcellary Survey Package 1 under the SLHP is a project under the DOTr and PNR that aims to construct 380.38 kilometers of railway system, comprising 22 stations from Calamba, Laguna to Daraga, Albay. The railway system traverses Laguna and Quezon provinces in CALABARZON.

“We welcome the collaboration because it will help the mobility and transport of people and basic commodities”, DENR CALABARZON Regional Executive Director Nilo B. Tamoria expressed.

DOTr-PNR also expresses its appreciation for this partnership. “We hope for a swift facilitation of the requirements from DENR”, added PNR Assistant Secretary for Railways, Jorjette B. Aquino.

The partnership shall take effect upon its signing by both parties and shall remain in full force for a period of three (3) years, subject to renewal or termination upon mutual agreement by the parties.
