
The OIC, DENR-CENRO of Sta. Cruz, Laguna, Venerando U. Garcia, convened all the DENR-CENRO Sta. Cruz personnel as they welcomed the start of another year with a General Assembly for CY 2023 held on January 16, 2023.
CENRO Garcia reminisced about how time had flown as he started with the discussion of the seven programs prepared by the DENR Secretary Ma. Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga. He mentioned the timeline of activities should be planned and implemented adaptable to climatic change as he tackled the adoption of a climate risk lens in national planning policies. Having a well-planned scheme of laying out activities is one way of further enhancing the action of services. He also took this opportunity to remind the importance of building more partnerships with stakeholders, private sectors, and other agencies by encouraging them to rehabilitate and ensure the increase of forest cover. All the actions are interconnected to one another including the conservation and protection of biodiversity highlighting the significance of participation under the jurisdiction of CENRO Sta. Cruz.
With reference to how the past year went, CENRO Garcia extended his gratitude to all personnel for being dedicated and for doing their utmost effort, especially on times when immediate action is needed. The convocation ended with supportive messages from all section chiefs of the said office.
