Calamba City, Laguna – To further improve the services provided to the community, Department of Environment and Natural Resources CALABARZON has signed a Memorandum of Partnership Agreement (MOPA) with the Municipal Government of Pangil, Laguna last July 30, 2020. DENR CALABARZON has also signed a MOPA with the Municipal Government of Cavinti for land related services last March 2018.

The MOPA aims to fast track the processing of land titling in the Municipality of Pangil. A “fast lane” shall be established to speed up the review and processing of the land titles. DENR CALABARZON will provide technical assistance to the personnel of the Local Government Units (LGU) as well as conducting necessary training and capacity building for the Pangil LGU. CENRO Sta. Cruz has targeted to issue 50 titles for survey lots, 50 titles for residential, and 50 titles for agricultural lands by the end of 2020.

On the other hand, the Pangil LGU signed to create necessary committees and teams for proper implementation of the MOPA. A permanent focal person shall act as a liaison between the agencies. To further educate the public, Pangil LGU has also committed to conducting various Information, Educatio, and Communication (IEC) campaigns and strategies.
