In support of the Department of Education's (DepEd) nationwide effort, the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) in Tayabas, Quezon has generously given a total of 750 seedlings to specific schools in its area. This initiative is part of the larger DepEd project, aiming to plant 236,000 Trees as a Christmas gift for children that emphasizes the commitment to create a greener future for students.

Recognizing the importance of local participation, CENRO Tayabas distributed 750 seedlings, including Narra (286), Molave (230), Lipote (220), and Rambutan (14). These seedlings were carefully selected to be both indigenous and fruit-bearing and planted within DepEd’s chosen areas.

The official planting day event took place on December 6, 2023, marking the beginning of this green initiative. Students and teachers gathered to plant trees, promoting a shared responsibility for the environment and encouraging a sense of community involvement in creating a healthier environment.###
