Calamba City, Laguna – The Department of Environment and Natural Resources CALABARZON through its Enforcement Division conducted a meeting to discuss the status of the Show Cause Orders (SCOs) along Marikina-Rizal-Laguna-Quezon (MARILAQUE) areas and its simultaneous issuance last November 06, 2023, at the DENR CALABARZON’s Regional Office located at Brgy. Mayapa, Calamba City, Laguna.

The said meeting was presided over by the DENR CALABARZON’S Regional Executive Director - Nilo B. Tamoria and was facilitated by the Chief of the Enforcement Division - For. Annabelle M. Barquilla.

It was attended by the Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services - For. Jose Elmer C. Bascos; Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officers of Laguna and Rizal - For. Eriberto B. Saños and For. Ramil R. Limpiada; Chief of Technical Services and Monitoring Enforcement Section of PENRO Laguna - Divina A. Villaluz and Jocema S. Adornado respectively; Chief of Technical Services Division of PENRO Quezon - For. Julieta P. Narte; Community Environment and Natural Resources Officers of Sta. Cruz and Real -  For. Venerando U. Garcia and For. Oliver O. Olivo; Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer and Staff of Infanta, Quezon and Tanay, Rizal - Reynaldo C. Avila and Regie Anne Dalay respectively; Division Chiefs and Officers-In-Charge of the following DENR IV-A’s Offices: Conservation and Development - Atty. Ma. Carolane P. Gonzales, Legal - Atty. Dominic O. Bermudez, and Regional Strategic Communications Information Group - For. Judaline A. Fabro; Protected Area Superintendent (PASu PP1636) Upper Marikina River Basin Protected Landscape (UMRBPL) - For. Violeta P. Masagnay; Kaliwa Watershed Forest Reserve (KWFR) - For. Felomen N. Antonio; Development Management Officer IV of Protected Area Management and Biodiversity Conservation Section (PAMBCS) - For. Jefferson G. Cruz; representatives from other partner agencies - Environmental Law Enforcement and Protection Service (ELEPS), Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO), Metropolitan Environmental Office (MEO), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and Philippine Information Agency (PIA).

The attendees concluded the meeting with plans on updating and assessment of submitted responses, simultaneous issuance of SCOs, and briefing of partner agencies. ###
