In a kick-off program, the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Tayabas City organized the month-long National Women's Month Celebration with the theme “We for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society”.

The calendar of activities of CENRO Tayabas for GAD was announced including the 1) Display of 2023 Campaign banner of the National Women’s Month Celebration in front of Office, 2) Kick-Off Activity/Opening Program of Natioal Women’s Month Activity during Flag Raising Activity on March 6, 2023, 3) Providing  the Advocacy T-Shirt to all employees of CENRO Tayabas, 4) Purple Wednesday and Purple your Icon, 5) Serbisyo para kay Juana CY 2023, 6) NWMC Advocacy Profile Photo (social media account), 7) Encouraging every personnel to use background for attending online events and meetings, 8) Production of GAD IEC Materials, and 9) Information Dissemination through radio guesting.

As Serbisyo Para Kay Juana offers treats, free services and other kinds of ways of giving back to women and recognizing their significant contributions to the society, each of the first ten (10) external clients of CENRO Tayabas received a token – one (1) grafted calamansi seedling, vitamins and promotional material on Tayo ang Kalikasan (TAK). 

Everyone was also encouraged to join Purple Wednesdays for this Women’s Month by wearing anything purple every Wednesday of March to signify support for women empowerment and gender equality.

The kick-off program of the Women's month celebration was a powerful reminder of the important role that women play in our communities. It was a celebration of their accomplishments, a recognition of their struggles, and a call to action for everyone to support their empowerment.
