The DENR-Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Real, Quezon conducted a public consultation in Brgy. Cuyambay, Tanay, Rizal regarding the exclusion of Rizal side in the proposed legislation of Presidential Proclamation No. 1636 as protected area under the National Integrated Protected Areas System.

A total of 48 people composed of 20 females and 28 males from Sangguniang Barangay, Indigenous Peoples, and stakeholders attended the public consultation.

The public consultation highlighted the presentation of the results of the Protected Area Suitability Assessment (PASA) conducted within PP1636, as well as the proposal to exclude Rizal side from the protected area.

After much deliberation, the community signed the Certificate of Concurrence for the proposed legislation of PP 1636 under the category of Protected Landscape, to include portions of the Quezon side only.
