On behalf of Cavite PENR Officer Januel R. Peras, Forester II Rhex P. Calipdan represented DENR-PENRO Cavite and served as honorable guest speaker during the graduation ceremony of Batch 2 and 3 of the Philippine Wildlife Sentinel Training School last January 29, 2023 at their headquarters in Biñan City, Laguna.

Said ceremony aims to uphold the values and honor the hard work and determination of the trainees in the pursuit of effective community response alongside with environmental protection and conservation.

During his speech, Forester Calipdan congratulates the students as they successfully finish the training with pride and honor for being an environmental warriors. “Bagama’t magtatapos kayo ngayong araw, ito naman ang magiging simula ng obligasyon, misyon at paglalakbay ninyo bilang mamamayan na katulong naming mangalaga sa kalikasan”, he said.

He ended his speech by sharing a quotation from DENR Undersecretary Atty. Ernesto Adobo Jr.: “There is no higher calling than our mission for environmental protection and conservation. It is our God-given duty to leave this world a place better than we found it, for we serve as temporary tenants to a green earth that should be enjoyed by future generations”.

The ending statement of Forester Calipdan intends to inspire and inculcate to the graduates and all guests that they have a significant role and duties towards sustaining, protecting and conserving the environment for future generations.
